A Real Introduction...The book is short (under 100 pages) but don't let this small size fool you. The stories and poems are full of power. The stories are good enough to hook you in but will leave you wanting more; in fact she has made it clear that the stories are only an introduction. The characters are very easy to relate to. Her stories will also give you some ideas, to include how to deal with your relationships and also how to add a little bit of spice. For this reason, her book is not only very entertaining but also educational and enlightening.
As previously stated, these stories are only an introduction. I would love to see what will happen with the rest of the characters; a sequel is a must. Katrina is a very talented writer with a very good and interesting imagination...be careful reading this book or you might start feeling some things (nothing unpleasant, of course). It is a great read, especially for this time of the year. So readers need to find a cozy spot, open up a bubbly (or whatever their preference), sit back, and just enjoy. If you have a fireplace, it would only bring out the coziness even more.
To sum it all up, a reader will be missing out if they look over this book.

The Balcony View by Katrina Gurl is a Must Read...Wow, so much talent, I re-read it again and shared it with a friend via I Pad. This Author deserves our love . Katrina, I mean every word...your talent far exceeds you. You have the ability to destroy yokes and remove burdens just by what you write.God has His words in your belly waiting on you to bring them forward. View is an all-inclusive collection of intelligent, realistic and engaging
short stories that will command several revisits from its readers. I found
myself anxiously racing toward every successive page, totally caught up in the
descriptive bird’s eye view provided by Katrina Gurl.
At times I felt as though
I was intruding in the personal indiscretions of friends and neighbors, but at
the same time so thankful for the trespass that I was able to displace any and
all feelings of accompanying guilt.
The poetic interludes serve to prepare the reader for the successive stories
and are very well written in themselves. There will most certainly be an
inclination for the reader to re-create the lush, vivid imagery of these
stories – and with good reason. If we were to indulge ourselves into delicacies
of this variety more often, our sensual sweet tooth would remain satisfied.
If you have yet to, I totally suggest you join – Noreen and Trent – Sholondrah and Langston – Skylar and Brandon & Frenchie and Tyler, for four wonderful, beautiful and pleasantly instructional moments of total pleasure, The Balcony View is definitely a must read. I found this book very well written for a new author. The characters show playfulness, lust and life.
The marketing of producing a book with the introduction of one chapter for each main character, I believe is very creative. It leaves the reader to want more. With that being said, I wish there was a second book already available to follow up. However, this is not the case and I hope that the readers will continue to keep this book on their minds so that the successor book can be just as impressive. The only downfall to this book was I wanted more. The Balcony View Intro introduces us with four short introductory stories that give a realistic look into how "love" can happen. With a taste of erotic happenings and beautiful romantic poetry that precedes each story and adds to the benefit of the book. I am so looking forward to The Balcony View II...
